I am passionate about deeply understanding the human brain and how molecular signalling, neuroplasticity and transcriptomics are manifested behaviourally and psychologically. From normal cognition to aberrant neuropsychology and neurological diseases, all of them are interesting topics that I enjoy.
My current project investigates transcriptomics and epigenetics of opioid use disorder and the genetic architecture that influence peoples’ susceptibility of addiction. Using high throughput technologies, we are investigating the molecular basis and underpinnings of addictive behaviour in different brain regions implicated in substance abuse and aiming to identify molecular targets indicating vulnerability.
For someone who’s passionate about the brain and cognition, I have bad memory especially with names.
