My PhD research focusses on developing software tools to help bench scientists organise their data and provide Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence tools to discover the threads of knowledge hidden within the masses of data which exists in the fields of systems biology, pharmacology and biomarker identification. Along the way I intend to develop some tools which will allow for a top-down approach to many of the issues surrounding the correct identification of proteins and their variations. Ultimately I hope to provide software that facilitates the progression and advancement of science and learning that empowers other bench scientists to be more productive and effective.
