Project Overview

My current undergraduate thesis project is temporal transcriptome of prostate cancer. The project aims to observe the temporal transcriptome of prostate cancer patients in African-American men (AA) and European-American men (EA) and to identify changes in gene expression levels that contribute to disease progression by using bioinformatics pipelines. By utilizing temporal transcriptome analysis, the transcriptome of various prostate cancer stages and transcripts that contribute to disease progression can be identified. Furthermore, identified transcripts can be used for further applications such as precision medicine.
